The adventure began thanks to François

Our story began in 2021 when we welcomed little François into our family. François is our French bulldog, our sweetheart.

To prepare for his arrival, we went to specialist stores to find him accessories for the walk. Unfortunately, when we got to the shelves, all the accessories were monotonous and in dark colours. Really not fun to welcome our François.

So we wanted to turn to rather local creators who produced handmade accessories. The patterns were much prettier. On the other hand, the problem was safety. And indeed, when testing the products it caused irritations to François and the accessories were not robust. In addition to that, it was difficult to wash them in the machine because there were a lot of hand-sewn decorations.

"barkzie", where did that come from?

From the English verb ''to bark'', that's how "barkzie" was born!
